Plastic Surgery Slang

April 20, 2018 by Jarred

When we hear about plastic surgery we know the more common names. Like Liposuction, Nose Job, Brazilian Butt Lift, and plenty more. These are more well-known names around the world, but the odd time we’ll hear something that’ll stump us. Something like Banana Rolls, Bat Wings, Mommy Make Over, that’ll keep us scratching our heads.

Here’s a list of some of the weirder names for surgery, and what they are. We’ll start you off with the more known.

Nip and Tuck: Which is referenced to any kind of plastic surgery.

Boob Job: Obviously this refers to a breast augmentation, often with implants that have silicon or saline.

Man Boobs: Again, pretty self explanatory, it’s when men have fat deposits in their boobs. Also referred to as Gynecomastia.

Tummy Tuck: This is a procedure that most are familiar with it consists of excision and liposuction of fat, with a large excision of skin as well. Also known as Abdominoplasty.

Muffin Top: Which is the area in between your hips and waist where fat hangs when you wear clothes. Also known as Abdominal Lipodystrophy.

Eye Lift: This is when they bring your eyelids and stretch them up with your brows, creating a brighter eye look. Doctors refer to it as Blepharoplasty.

Schnozz Job: Which is a nose job, or also known as Rhinoplasty.

Crows Feet: Which are the wrinkles around your eyes that have three lines (like a crow’s foot). This is also referred to as Perioccular Rhytides.

Turkey Neck: This is when your neck basically loosens and claps together beneath your chin. It’s also known as Cervical Laxity.

Saddle Bags: These are the outer thighs and hips of someone, usually with a noticeably smaller waist.

Banana Rolls: This is when they take the fat from under your bum/upper thigh and place it in your butt cheeks.

Marionette Lines: These mimic the lines of a marionette doll around your mouth. The “technical” term is wrinkles that go from the mouth to the chin.

Elevens: Also known as frown lines, these are the wrinkles you’ll notice pointing away from your mouth. Doctors refer to them as Glabellar Rhytides.

Smokers Lines: These are the tiny little wrinkles that are around your lips almost like you’re puckering when you’re not. They are also known as Perioral Rhytides.

Bat Wing: This is the excess fat on your upper arms. You know when you wave sometimes and can feel it swinging (we all do, just some have it worse then others). Medically known as Brachioplasty.

Mommy Make Over: This is everything in one plastic surgery, it’s the surgery to get your body exactly where you want it. For some right after child birth. It includes a tummy tuck, breast lift, butt lift, liposuction, breast augmentation. It’s definitely the Frankenstein of surgeries.
